Crosses and Losses

Employing the use of found objects, the artist uses cigarette cartons collected from the subject thread painted. Creating the traditional quilt block pattern ‘Crosses and Losses’ the recycled object makes a nod to consumption and tackles a larger theme of substance abuse. Like all pieces, all elements of this were solely created by the artist while using upcycled and significant fabrics.
