Log Cabin, St Patrick

36” x 15.5”

Expanding on the theme of log cabins and home the artist seeks out notions of home and ghosts of lived experiences. A well manicured, but outdated, home on St Patrick St in New Orleans explores themes of death and symbolism to the artist, who’s father died of substance abuse on St Patrick’s Day. The quilt size is distorted to an unusual shape, heightening thoughts of the passage of time and our quest to find the familiar while pressing on into the future.
